I do love the fact I could ask the browser stuff like “Does it bother you that the word browser rhymes with arouser?” That said, Bing AI chat is now (kind of) available in Google Chrome and Safari (for select users), expanding beyond Microsoft Edge and the Bing app. Powered by OpenAI's ChatGPT, it answers questions and provides information.

ChatGPT broke the Turning test - what does that mean?

Tying not to be too clickbait, but even though it surpassed the Turing test it faces challenges with abstract reasoning. It basically struggles with real world examples but could mimic that it was a person. But, ChatGPT clearing the Turing test is definitely a massive step forward.

Entertainment firms, including Disney, are investing in AI programs, raising concerns among striking actors and writers about AI-generated content and the manipulation of their likenesses.

Tips for Artists! Shout out to the collective!

4 tricks that I use to generate E P I C artwork. Spoiler, you need more than a simple text prompt.

1) Focus on different art style - Get into diverse art styles to create AI masterpieces that capture the essence of real-world art. Try to go heave with the photography jargon like macro, backlit, silhouette, and bokeh to enrich your AI system vocabulary.

2) Collect prompts - I text them to myself. Use them as AI art prompt inspirations. I keep a list of colour palettes, descriptive text, and ideas to feed into the AI system and spark my artistic juices.

3) Go large! - I aways choose the highest resolution possible for AI-generated art to ensure top-notch quality. Avoid low-res, pixilated images that might seem poorly copied from the original. They are whack. Use the upscale options in Midjourney or look at DALL-E's Outpainting feature for dimension expansion - will pick this up on another newsletter.

4) Love the communities - Whether for making buds or just inspiration, get involved… Nightcafe on Reddit, DALL·E 2 on Discord or Midjourney - on Discord

Flat Lighting: Get an evenly illuminated, no-frills appearance.

Ambient Lighting: Get a muted and understated atmosphere.

Soft Lighting/Softbox Lighting: Get a gentle and subtle ambiance.

Dappled Lighting: Get a dreamy aura reminiscent of sun-kissed patterns.

Bright Lighting: Get vibrancy and liveliness into the scene.

Backlit: Get depth, contrast, and theatrical flair.
